Israeli chat site in Hebrew

What is ChatX?

Most well-known chat sites are international: the interface is in English and you are matched with strangers from all over the world. ChatX is different. It is an Israeli chat site built in Hebrew, where you talk with people from Israel and the wider Hebrew-speaking world, in their own language, about things that matter to them.

Getting started is meant to be easy. There are no long forms and nothing to download: ChatX works in the browser on your phone or your computer. Basic use is free, and the site is for adults aged 18 and over.

Who is it for?

• Hebrew speakers who want a relaxed place to chat with new people, in Hebrew, without installing anything.
• Israelis abroad who miss everyday conversation in Hebrew and want to stay connected to what people at home are talking about.
• Hebrew learners who are ready to practise with real people. The rooms are casual, so they are a good place to read and write everyday Hebrew.

Chat rooms

The rooms are organised by topic and community. You can join them as a guest: choose a nickname and start talking, with no registration. Some of the rooms:

• Lobbythe main room for general conversation
• Sportsmatches, teams and live game talk
• Musicrecommendations and what everyone is listening to
• Gamingfinding people to play and talk with
• Newscurrent affairs, discussed in real time
• Arab communitya room for Arab society in Israel
• Haredi communitya room for the ultra-Orthodox public

There are more rooms beyond these, all listed on the rooms page (in Hebrew).

Roulette: coming soon

Roulette, a random one-on-one chat with a random nickname, is not open yet and will arrive after the launch. More about roulette (in Hebrew).

Dating portal

For registered users who want to meet someone new, ChatX has a dating portal. You can only write to someone after a mutual match, so every conversation starts with interest on both sides. More about the dating portal (in Hebrew).

Safety

You talk under a nickname and decide for yourself what to share. Every conversation has report and block options, and reports are reviewed by the moderation team. A few simple habits help too: never share your password, and keep your phone number and address to yourself until you really know someone. Read our safety guide (in Hebrew).
